Hello, I’m Ege Mert, a Mechatronic Engineer with a Master’s degree in the same field.

I graduated from Manisa Celal Bayar University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering and completed my MSc at Ege University. Early in my career, I worked as a Mechatronic Engineer on international industrial projects, taking part in SCADA installations, machine upgrades, and system revisions at British American Tobacco factories in countries such as Bangladesh and Iran.

I am currently working as a Process Control Engineer at one of the largest factories of Japan Tobacco International. In this role, I am primarily responsible for IACS Robustification activities, ensuring reliability, cybersecurity, and standardization of industrial automation systems. In addition, I contribute to automation projects, system improvements, machine installations, PLC and HMI-related developments, and cross-functional coordination between engineering, production, and IT teams.

Beyond my professional life, I value continuous learning, art, and exploration. I enjoy discovering new cultures and environments, reading books related to personal development, and exploring masterpieces ranging from sculpture and painting to architecture and music.

My long-term goal is to deepen my expertise in automation, industrial processes, and engineering management, and to grow into a professional who combines strong technical knowledge with structured decision-making and leadership.
